Currently, well-known companies that have purchased multi-use RPET tableware are mainly distributed in three major sectors: chain catering, airlines, and hotel groups.

Chain Catering Brands
In 2023, Mars Wrigley China launched its first 100% rPET packaging product, using rPET to produce transparent bowl lids. This initiative is expected to reduce the use of virgin plastic by 36 tons annually. The company plans to expand the application of rPET materials to packaging for products such as Snickers and M&M’S, aiming to reduce virgin plastic usage by 300 tons per year.

Hellmann’s, a condiment brand under Unilever, switched to 100% post-consumer recycled PET (rPET) for its packaging bottles in the UK, making it the first 100% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) food brand in the country. If the entire product line adopts rPET, it is estimated to save approximately 1,480 tons of raw materials annually.

Airlines
Delta Air Lines is one of the first airlines to use 100% recycled polyester fiber (rPET) for onboard bedding. The bedding is made from over 100 recycled plastic bottles, with 25 million recycled bottles used annually. The company has also introduced onboard tableware made from natural and recycled materials, reducing plastic usage by up to 4.3 million pounds per year.

China Airlines, in its sustainable demonstration flights, provides economy class passengers with environmentally remanufactured stainless steel tableware, paired with rPET-based meal covers, plastic cups, pillowcases, headrest covers, and bathroom accessory containers. Additionally, FSC-certified paper cups and biodegradable dental floss sticks are used.

EasyJet provides its crew members with 100% reusable cups and tableware made from durable materials designed for long-term use. This initiative helps reduce 71 tons of single-use plastic waste annually.
