The laminates offer moisture and oxygen barrier properties for products including single-serve sachets, chips and salty snacks, protein and drink powders, vitamins and gummies, and ground coffee and tea. ‘With more than 40 percent of consumer goods packaged in flexible packaging and less than one percent of these being recycled in the US, there is a need for more brands to choose sustainable options for their products,’ noted Daphna Nissenbaum, CEO of TIPA.
